A
graduate of the Atlanta College of Art, Sarah Paul has
been working as a visual effects artist for over eight
years. Her digital work in GHOST OF THE NEEDLE created
the ghost in the negative effect in the darkroom and heightened
other practical effects.
Brian
says, “Like all good digital effects, you don’t
recognize them when you see them. It’s about getting
that extra ten percent, in Sarah’s case twenty
percent, you couldn’t afford to achieve pratically
on location.”
However,
her most dramatic contribution to the look of the film is clearly
visible. Sarah designed and created the opening title sequence
of the film which sets the tone as well as gives an important
clue if you pay attention.
